The Ocean Blue Large Temple Jar is a decorative blue vessel that has its roots far in the past. The piece is made of clay sourced from the area surrounding the kilns that produced objects for the Imperial estate during the heyday of the dynasties. The formulas to achieve the particular blue on this vessel’s surface is a secret one guarded by ceramicist families devoted to the single color. This striking blue is very rarely seen in porcelain.
